Noirdoc is designed with privacy at its core. All document processing — including text extraction, entity detection, and anonymization — happens entirely on your Mac. Your files never leave your device. We do not operate servers that receive, process, or store your documents.

3. Data We Collect

App

The Noirdoc application does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. No account is required. No files are uploaded. No usage data is sent to our servers or any third party. Everything stays on your computer.

Website

Our website (noirdoc.com) uses self-hosted analytics (Umami) to collect anonymized page view statistics. This data contains no personal information, no cookies, and no IP addresses. See section 7 for details.

4. How We Use Your Data

Since the App does not collect any personal data, there is nothing to use. The anonymized website analytics help us understand which pages are visited and improve the website experience.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure — request deletion of your data
• Data portability — request your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

6. Third-Party Services

Our website uses the following services:

• Hosting provider — serves the website files (static hosting, no data processing)
• Umami — self-hosted, privacy-focused web analytics (see section 7)

The App itself does not connect to any third-party services.

7. Website Analytics

We use Umami, a self-hosted analytics tool, to collect anonymized website usage data. Umami:

• Does not use cookies
• Does not collect personal data
• Anonymizes IP addresses
• Only tracks page views and referrers
• Is hosted on our own infrastructure

Our website does not use tracking cookies. Umami is a cookie-free analytics solution. No data is stored in your browser.
